The Victorian decor and architecture first drew us in, and the ambience was just what we were hoping for. The service we received from Jennifer our server was warm and so accommodating. The generous portions were fresh and delicious, with that home made taste.

We hosted my Mother in Law's 90th Birthday luncheon at the Putnam House and it was outstanding. Service, food and atmosphere were all perfect. Many many thanks from the Sherman Family. You made this special occasion flawless for our family.

My first time there...food was delicious! My tall gin and tonic was quite weak, but the outside dining experience, listening to their feature band 'Crosstown' was quite nice! Would have liked to dance...if tables were positioned a little differently to create a dance floor area, the guests would have been able to boogie to the phenomenal music. Would I return? Certainly!

This place is great. My wife and I went here for dinner one night during the summer. We were able to sit outside on the patio, and to our surprise they were having a jazz night. It looked like there were a few experienced jazz musicians with some novices in their tutelage. We had a wonderful time looking out over the town while eating our dinner and listening to music.

Creative offerings from pub grub to delicious entrees. Bowl of chili to crab stuffed sole with lemon sauce and choice of Basmati rice, pilaf, mashed potatoes. Attentive staff and comfortable dining areas.

I don't get the negative reviews??? Been to Putnam House multiple times over several years and it has never failed to please. Food is very good, and staff is friendly and attentive. Herb-crusted pork tenderloin is consistently excellent! Bar and bar tables are always a nice atmosphere, and the dining area is pleasant if you are looking for a more formal experience.

Food is consistently above the bar. Each meal comes with a side salad, the wings are amazing. I get take-out from here once a week and the quality is just as good as if you're eating in. Best beef stew I've ever had. Essentially, everything is fantastic.

Very nice restaurant very good food, good wine menu, outdoor seating, quiet dining rooms and a separate bar.
